Today, we spent more time looking at healthy puberty. We looked at how important it is to be healthy and clean. We talked about washing, changing clothes, using deodorant, and cleaning up after ourselves.
We talked about cleaning up after wet dreams. We then discussed, with visual prompts, masturbation and how important it is to clean up afterwards.
Elliott said, “Ooh that’s disgusting”. I said, “That’s okay to think that but at some stage you may not think the same way.”
Elliott then asked whether it was the same as wetting the bed. I said, “No it’s not the same as that but you do have to clean up.” Elliott said, “It’s rude to touch yourself like that”. I said, “It’s rude to do that in public.” Elliott said, “I know! I know, Meegan, but it’s okay in private with the door closed!”
We briefly went over the public/private flash cards again so we were all clear about what was private and public behaviour in relation to masturbation.
