S.E.E. Mail issues
What is S.E.E mail is designed to do
S.E.E. Mail is a system designed to secure Internet e-mail traffic between Participating Agencies. The process is normally hidden and the S.E.E. Mail system will only send a warning if it detects a problem. Unfortunately email lists are seen as a problem and that is why you are seeing the S.E.E. warning.
An example of a S.E.E. message:
From: sweeper.admin@ minedu.govt.nz [mailto:sweeper.admin@ minedu.govt.nz]
Sent: Tuesday, July 28, 2009 8:58 AM
To: discuss@ transitions.org.nz
Subject: S.E.E. MAIL WARNING #5A: (UNVERIFIED INTERNAL SENDER)
This message has our agency’s email address, but came from outside. The confidentiality, integrity or authenticity of the message cannot be guaranteed. Possible causes of this warning include:

The mail may have been forwarded by a distribution (List serve) service

The sender is working away from our agency, and using an ISP mail account
-
Someone other than the sender may have sent the message and falsified the email address
Recommended action: If you have doubts about the message authenticity, verify the message with the sender by some other means

What actions do you need to take?
You may find that the original message is either attached to the S.E.E. message (in an icon that looks like an envelope), or below the S.E.E. warnings. Either way you can read the message by double clicking the attachment or scrolling down the text on your screen.
You don't have to respond with the word 'release.' :-)
