The Development Project focuses on:

• young children who have ASD, and their
• families, whānau and caregivers
• specialist staff who work with and support the children and families, whānau and caregivers.

With children, families, whānau and specialist staff at the centre, the Development Project aims to contribute in four ways:

• improve outcomes for children with ASD and their families, whānau and caregivers
• develop practitioner skills 
• develop a collaborative model for providing professional learning and development
• explore the SCERTS framework in the New Zealand context.
