Welcome to the website of the Early Intervention Autism Spectrum Disorder Development Project.

This is an innovative project which began at the end of 2006, with people taking part across New Zealand. It aims to improve early intervention services for children with ASD, and their families and whānau. There are twelve local project teams taking part in the Development Project and they are based in Special Education offices throughout the country. The teams are made up of specialists who learn and work together, supporting families with the SCERTS framework.
