Welcome to the website of the Early Intervention Autism Spectrum Disorder Development Project.
This is an innovative project which began at the end of 2006, with people taking part across New Zealand. It aims to improve early intervention services for children with ASD, and their families and whānau. Go to the About the Project page to read more about what we are doing, how we are doing and who is taking part. There are twelve local project teams taking part in the Development Project and they are based in Special Education offices throughout the country. The teams are made up of specialists who learn and work together, supporting families with the SCERTS framework. Go to the SCERTS Framework page to read more about this way of working with young people with ASD.
